Think You Know It All About College? Let Us Prove You Wrong Congratulations on being accepted to college! You're in for what will probably be the best years of your life. Do you already have a major selected? If not, don't worry, as you still have time to choose one. The following article contains some tips that can help you with your choice. Set realistic goals when you schedule you work and classes. Don't set yourself up for failure by taking early morning classes that you already know you will never make it to. Learn your body's natural rhythm and schedule around it. Check out all the grants and scholarships that your school provides so that you can have some help in paying for your education. A variety of options will be available, even for things you can't imagine are real, like a left-handed scholarship! Also look into the different federal aid programs there are. It is important that you map out your first day at school before your actual first day. Try and figure out how long it'll take for you to get to each class, and use that to plan accordingly. You can also find libraries or cafes on your route to study or eat lunch at if you have time. Along with your required course load, make sure you add some extracurricular activities. Participating in activities that pertain to your interests beefs up your experience for when you depart for the real world. Don't overwhelm your schedule, though. Find a place to study that is conducive to your style of studying. If you can study while blocking out noise then your dorm room may be fine. But if you need privacy and quiet then find a quiet corner in one of the less popular areas of the library or a perhaps a peaceful and relaxing space outdoors. So, now that you've read this article, do you have a major selected? If so, then good for you. If not, just remember that you can continue to review the tips listed above to help you in your major choice. The choice is up to you, so make it a wise one.
